Facility types

For identifying facility (GS1 location) types, IBM Food Trust™ supports a subset of the GS1 Party Role Codes (version 3–August 08, 2016) and some additional IBM Food Trust-specific facility types, as described below. Note that whereas GS1 uses these identifiers to describe the parties or supply chain participant roles, IBM Food Trust uses them to describe the facilities or locations owned by the participants.

Default facility type codes

The IBM Food Trust source code uses the GS1 partyRoleCodes attribute name to group facility types in order to align with existing GS1-compliant systems.
